Well, Father Time has rolled us over to 2009. It's going to be a big year, I can already tell. Several folk's odometers will be rolling over to landmark years: Allison will be 30 in April, Mama will be 50 in October (but she doesn't look a day over 35; I hope I have inherited that gene), both Harry and Kay will turn 60 this year. Now that I've announced all of their ages they will probably shoot me. At least I didn't mention that Ma turns 108 this year (hahahahaha). Allison and I will be married 4 years later this month.
Last year was a busy year! Building our house consumed most of the year. I am so glad that it is done. We are so thankful for our new home. It's everything we hoped it would be and more (although the cleaning part stinks and the bank expects a bunch of money from us every month). Maybe I should add a paypal interface to the website so folks can contribute to our mortgage! Last year also saw a career change for me. Being a maintenance tech for a cable company has been so much fun for me! I am thankful for my job.
I am not much for New Years resolutions, but I have pledged to go to the doctor and get a checkup. I also want to do more with the TV station and website and my personal website, www.justiceplittle.com. You can visit the site and see what you think. Make sure you sign the guestbook so I can see who was there and what you thought. I guarantee a laugh or two during your visit. My best friend in the whole world, Nathan Reed, maintains it for me. I am also toying with the idea of putting myself on Channel 22 with a call-in piano request show on Sunday afternoons. Would you watch if I did that? Reckon anyone would sponsor such a thing? I have also thought of making an official album of my favorite hymns and sacred songs. Maybe I can get Allison to play the organ on a few numbers. After all, a little eye candy goes a long way with "Crown Him With Many Crowns!" Speaking of Gospel music, I am also hoping to get in touch with the First Lady of Southern Gospel Music, Mrs. Eva Mae LeFevre, again (I talked to her in 2007 about doing a concert at our church). She is such a sweet lady and I know that folks would come from miles around to get to see her in person and hear her sing. What do you think?
I am also hoping that my graduating class from 1999 will decide to have a reunion. Ten years has been a long time! I wonder where all those folks are now and what they are doing.
I hope that everyone that reads this, whether I know you or not, will have the best year of their lives. Everyone is welcome to drop me a line to jsl7997@gmail.com or you can visit the website or my Facebook profile to keep up with me. Ya'll have a good year!
